Most coaches do not need more certifications. They need a clearer promise.
A coaching business gets hard to sell when the offer sounds like this:
"I help people unlock their potential."
That may be true. But it does not tell a client why they should book a call today.
A stronger coaching promise usually answers three questions:
- Who do you help?
- What problem are they tired of carrying?
- What changes after working with you?
Clarity does not make your work smaller. It makes your value easier to recognize.
Before adding another program, rewrite your core promise in one sentence a real client would repeat to a friend.

A discovery call is not a performance. It is a diagnostic conversation.
Many new coaches enter sales calls trying to prove they are good enough.
That pressure changes the entire conversation.
Instead, try this sequence:
- Understand the gap.
- Name the cost of staying there.
- Explore what has already been tried.
- Reflect the pattern you hear.
- Only then, explain how coaching could help.
When the client feels accurately understood, trust increases.
Selling coaching is not about talking more. It is about hearing the right things and helping the client hear themselves more clearly.

The best coaching niche is not always the smallest niche.
New coaches often hear: "Niche down."
Good advice. But incomplete.
A useful niche has three parts:
- a person you understand,
- a problem they actively want solved,
- a result they can describe in their own words.
"Executives" is not a niche.
"New senior managers who feel confident technically but overwhelmed by people leadership" is much closer.
Specificity does not limit your business. It makes your message travel faster.
Appel à l’action · If your niche feels vague, write the sentence: "I help ___ who struggle with ___ become ___".

Confidence comes after reps, not before them.
A lot of coaches wait to feel confident before they start showing up.
They wait to post.
They wait to invite conversations.
They wait to charge properly.
They wait to call themselves a coach.
But confidence usually follows evidence.
Evidence comes from practice:
- one useful post,
- one real conversation,
- one clean offer,
- one client served well,
- one lesson improved for next time.
You do not build a coaching business by thinking your way into readiness.
You build it by creating proof.

If your coaching content only inspires, it may not convert.
Inspiration is valuable. But your audience also needs to see how you think.
Try mixing these four content types:
- A belief: what you know to be true about change.
- A mistake: what keeps clients stuck.
- A method: how you help someone move forward.
- A proof point: what improves when the work is done well.
This gives your audience more than encouragement.
It gives them a reason to trust your process.
Content should not just make people nod.
It should help the right person think: "This coach understands my situation."
